Glioma

These are malignant tumours, which develop from glial cells (the supporting tissue of the brain). They are rarely suitable for such focal radiation because they usually spread wide within the brain. However, a small lesion, e.g. focal recurrence would be treatable. 

Gamma Knife Radiosurgery is usually used as a focal boost before or after conventional fractionated radiotherapy.
